]]> You can customize many of the field labels to match the language that you use in your own process.  You will also want to change the generic user-defined field labels to be more descriptive.  To make these changes, use the the Data Dictionary found in the Admin/Config menu.   

Note that there are many tabs to look through to find the fields that you want.

Enter the new field label in the Override box.  Tooltips can also be added which allow for a longer description of the field contents to be shown when you “mouse over” the field.

There are defaults set based on Privilege Group.  These defaults can be changed be editing the individual permission settings.

You can also restrict access to only a department or building.

There are three groups of permissions so make sure to review all three groups.

]]> There are three things to do:

  1. The user’s computer will need the FileMaker software installed if it is not already there.  If you need to purchase an additional FileMaker license, contact your PeopleWerksHR support person.
  2. In the User Management area of PeopleWerksHR, you need to change the user’s access level to the required group, make sure that the System ID is correct for the login, and make any changes needed to the detail permissions.
  3. Let your tech person know to set the user up in the Active Directory with the same Access Level.  The System ID and the Access Level in PeopleWerksHR must match the data set up in the Active Directory.  If not, the user will receive an error message upon logging in.
